Review:

This is going to be big! First, because there is Jars of Clay presenting their style uniqueness and also their pure devoted creativity. Jars of Clay is by far one of the best selling artist from the Christian Music field in the past decade. What does this mean? This means that Christian market should never be underestimated. You never know when the next idol will explode. As i learned so far, uniqueness is one of the primary keys in music today as it was back then when it started.

The Shelter. Even though i haven’t got the chance to listen or even to preview song demos of the new album coming our way october 5th, i would like to write down few words on this upcoming title of Jars of Clay based on the new track listing (which was just released by the way). So, here goes:

As you notice, all tracks are feat somebody. Not just somebody i’d say. Many of these artists didn’t go home empty handed after this years Dove Awards nor have they been going unnoticed throughout the year with one or numerous singles on radio stations like Brandon Heath (won the “Male Vocalist of the Year” title of this year’s Dove Awards), Third Day’s Mac Powell (2 wins and several nominees with Third Day), Sara Groves (nominee), David Crowder (1 win with his band David Crowder Band) or Amy Grant.

Newer talents such as Audrey Assad, Thad Cockrell or Gungor which all have popped up from the underground area in the last few years are not missing their part on this album. This may be the most expected album of the year.

Also Jars of Clay’s passion is Blood:Water Mission, a charity that provides wells for clean water in Africa while also helping people with AIDS. Jars is currently working on the 1,000 Wells project. Currently there are 850 communities in Africa that are benefiting from clean water, which translates to more than 500,000 people. Most probably a part of the earnings from this album will go that direction. So what’s left for us to do is to support them financially if possible but most importantly in our thoughts and prayers.
